Easter Blessings

What a day to celebrate! I am so grateful to the Savior for turning my sorrow into bliss. I know He knows our pain, and can remove it from us completely."And oh, what joy, and what marvelous light I did behold; yea, my soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was my pain!" (Alma 36:20)Through Christ's atonement we can be healed from sin, sorrow, and pain of every kind. He lives! (And so will Nanny Janny because of Him.) I love you, Oliver, Lennox, and Lamb.

HAPPY EASTER!

Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth.

...he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered.

...there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.

...he is the firstfruits unto God, inasmuch as he shall make intercession for all the children of men; and they that believe in him shall be saved. 2Nephi 2: 6-9

Last Day of Winter

At Oliver's 6 month appointment he weighed 17-7 lbs. and was 27 3/4 " tall. That's 50th percentile for weight and 90th for height. Robust. Plus, his heart sounded perfect.

Adoption Finalization

This posting is out of order (no pun intended), but here we are at the courthouse on March 11th. During this momentous week, our hearts were bursting with love and gratitude for Kelsey and Zach--Oliver's birth parents--as well as for Oliver. They have blessed us beyond measure.

What a WONDERFUL week!

Our family has had such a wonderful week. We have been truly blessed, and we hope to remember the events of the past few days forever. We started on Tuesday at the Third District Court in Salt Lake City where we finalized our adoption of Oliver. We were able to tell the court publicly how wonderful our lives have been since Oliver was born. The judge was very kind and was quite taken with how adorable she thought Oliver was. She even gave us a video transcript of the whole event to take home.

On Saturday we were able to be sealed with Oliver as an eternal family in the Salt Lake Temple, and today we blessed Oliver at church. Afterwards, we had friends and family over to the house to celebrate the special occasion. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped make this such a memorable week. We are again overwhelmed by all the love and support of our family, friends, and ward members who have helped make the past few days so special for us. Thanks to all of you.

My First "Food"!

This video clip is of Oliver having his first "food," (not counting rice cereal.) Mmmmm....Carrots! It also captures one of Oliver's latest endearing mannerisms, which is to twirl his feet when he is feeling satisfied.
